The VT has recently announced an advertising campaign based on the USDA's rennovated food pyramid. Committed to excellence in food and nutrition, the newspaper will be displaying a series of ads regarding eating.
The ads are due to launch today.
This campaign is also a partial response to unhealthy habits developed by those in the Vivirito household. The most poignant case last week was Nick's fainting during choir practice.
"He didn't eat breakfast or dinner the night before," Erin tattled. "So now mom and dad make him eat all the time."
While parental participation may aid in combatting Nick's sporadic eating, the VT felt that something more had to be done. So it launched the ad campaign. It hopes that by using famous cartoon celebrities, comical posters, and other gentle reminders, Nicholas will never again forget to eat.
The VT wants also to remind the community that eating enough is only part of the problem, especially for this family. It is no uncommon occurrence that overeating in this family could result in what some dub 'bucket butt syndrome.' Although Matt seems to be exempt from the inflictions of this disease, none of the other children are.
Mother once noted this phenomenon during a standing-up period of a Christmas Mass, and it has been a family joke ever since.
