Books...

Currently reading:
White Noise, Don DeLillo: An intriguing story of a rather verbose family in otherwise normal circumstances. Its attention span matches mine, and it asks the questions we all forget to ask.

The God of Small Things, Arundhati Roy: Her seminal work, a wonderful story (autobiography?) of an Indian family. Spiritual, meditative, touching. One of those books that really takes you away...

What's the Matter with Kansas? Thomas Frank: Furthermore, what's the matter with Normal? Why are intellects ostracized in this country???

A Tale of Love and Darkness, Amos Oz: His childhood in Israel. I'm slowing moving through...

Recent books:
Paroles, Jacques Prévert: The best thing about this poetry was my reading it in French. Yay!
Artemis Fowl, Eoin Colfer: Dangerous, elusive, hilarious, imaginative.
The Red Tent, Anita Diamant: A recommendation from my mother... as it should be.
One Hundred Years of Solitude, Gabriel García Márquez: I know, one of those books you feel guilty for not having read. Well, you should. It's good, but not because people say it is. Disturbingly hilarious.
Out of the Dust, Karen Hesse: I cried. When I write books, one shall be like this.
