ode to the aphid, in haiku

life! sap!sucking! you
feast on my poured-open heart,
extended fingers--

innocent young ones
i grieve your plight, crying loud
on the days we part.

:so tenderly we:
:ferociously they: breed, eat
(together we cry.)
