Budapest 2010

...so Budapest is currently in the runnings for the 'Cultural Capital' of Europe 2010. i think it's got a pretty good chance, and it has been seriously beefing up its 'culturalness' lately. there are festivals everywhere. last weekend there was a lights display in deak ter, one of the city's major squares (you can see the lights in my pictures). they've also got displays of their crazy ideas all over the place-- pretty cool looking computer graphics meet public spaces architecture. very intriguing.
