this is a paper i wrote for Laura Nader's (name-dropping) anthro course this semester... it's on my wonderful home town. i apologize because this is not the final version so it's got some errors; but it's pretty close. i'll see if i can rustle up the one i turned in. the course was "controlling processes," studying social, cultural, and ideological control. this is the focus of my paper. check out especially the appendices, which track statistical information regarding underage alcohol ticketing and drug ticketing. why do you people live there?! ;)

yes, i noticed the misspelling of 'fluctuated' ('fluxuated') in the appendix. i just wanted to point out to everyone how awesome i am at spelling anymore. it's the french.
